Half of the argument is absolutely correct and unarguable, but it's based on an understanding of a process that is massively flawed but if you have misinterpreted the understanding then it makes some kind of sense.
We have way too much thinking like this at the moment from individuals and groups that use loud voices, and claims of offense caused to avoid having to confront the possibility that they might not quite have got to the root(s) of the issue in question.
